Our new local partners in helping save the Woods!
FOMW has been exploring and finalizing a new partnership with Sellwood Community House (SCH). A beloved neighborhood icon and a thriving nonprofit, SCH provides preschool, after-school, classes, and events for kids and families in the neighborhood. For us, partnering with SCH means a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to save Moreland Woods through preservation, outdoor education, and occasional community events.
SCH is expanding its programs, and the Woods would provide an ideal location for realizing aspects of its mission. If we can save Moreland Woods from being sold and developed, it would mean SCH would own, program, and maintain the Woods for community use. Everyone benefits!
