Early this year, Friends of Moreland Woods was approached by the Tree Emergency Response Team, an environmental art project and part of the Elisabeth Jones Art Center in Portland.
TERT’s mission is to identify Portland trees at risk due to development, then host a series of events that support the arts and raise awareness for the trees’ potential plight.
Their goals align perfectly with ours. We’ve agreed to co-host three free family-friendly community events with TERT this month, including a special Earth Day painting session in the Woods.
